Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Friday did what many had thought impossible as he paid a condolence visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji over the death of his most senior wife.
Ever since the elevation and installation of high and senior Ibadan chiefs, Ajimobi and the monarch had been at loggerheads.
Olori Kudirah Adetunji died in the early hours of yesterday at the age of 71. She was buried yesterday evening according to Islamic rites.
Only yesterday, Ajimobi sent a delegation led by his deputy, Chief Moses Alake-Adeyemo to the monarch.
On his arrival today, Ajimobi, leading many members of the State Executives to the Popoyemoja Palace of the monarch.
At the palace was one of Ajimobi’s predecessors- Dr. Omololu Olunloyo.
