LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Sacks 255, Redeploys 299 Staff To State Service (SEE LIST)

Finally, the management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, ‎has wielded the big stick. More than 500 staffs are no longer members of staffs of the institution jointly owned by the government of Oyo and Osun States.
‎An internal memorandum signed by one A.M Ajiferuke and dated 27th December, 2017, reads: “kindly find below the list of disengaged staff as directed by the Oyo State Government and approved by the board at her meeting held on Thursday, 21st December, 2017.”
The list, copies of which were obtained by insideoyo.com, shows that 255 of the institution’s workers have been disengaged while 299 others are to be redeployed  to the state service, bringing the total of affected workers to 554.
Insideoyo.com investigations revealed that axes may also dangle on workers of LAUTECH as the owner-states has begin the process of ‘weeding’. Sources told insideoyo.com that “the headcount was unable to commence yesterday due to flight delay. The team couldn’t fly from Lagos to Ibadan due to unfavourable weather condition.”
Meanwhile, the various unions in the institution are spoil for war against the owner-states. A congress, insideoyo.com was told, in underway.
However, efforts to get the spokesperson of the teaching hospital to confirm the list proved abortive.
While speaking with the university image maker, Mr. Lekan Fadeyi, he said he couldn’t speak for the teaching hospital. “I can only speak for the university,” he said.
This news will be updated immediately insideoyo.com gets the reactions of the affected parties.
