Ex-Oyo AG, Mutalubi Ojo, Wants Alumni To Assist Alma Mater

The immediate pas‎t Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State,  Barr. Adebayo Mutalubi Ojo, has advised Nigerians to be of assistance to their alma mater.
Ojo, who was re-elected chairman of 1985 set of Urban Day Grammar School, Elekuro, Ibadan, spoke at this year’s annual general meeting and reunion of the school.
According to Ojo, government cannot do everything for the numerous schools that under their control, adding that “we should thank God for taking us this far. Then, the future was bleak; we never knew where life was taking us to. Thirty-two years after, we are here, leading in our various professional careers.
He spoke further: “We have cause to thank God. We defied all odds to reach the heights we are. If not for anything, we should thank God for our lives. No matter how little, let’s do something to assist our alma mater. It would go a long way in shaping the future of the generation next.”
‎Speaking earlier, the special guest on the occasion, Prof Bolaji Oritola of the Osun State University, said that “It’s not easy in a time like this. There are many benefits you can enjoy from coming together. Think of ways of giving back to the society.”
At the event, new executives were elected. Ojo was re-elected chairman, Kazeem Sanusi was elected as vice-chairman. Tunde Akinola, secretary; Latif Okunlola as publicity and socia‎l secretary; Elizabeth Adefioye as financial secretary; Omoniyi Odeyemi as legal adviser; Funke Lana as treasurer while Ganiya Adesiyan was elected assistant secretary.
