The All Progressives Party chieftain, Bola Tinubu has finally cleared the air on his alleged plan to float a mega party.
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has opened up on the news making the rounds that he is planning to start another party following the disunity in the APC.
However, the elder statesman has revealed that after labouring to put up the APC, he has no plans of abandoning the party. He said this on his Twitter handle this morning.
“I have devoted my political life to achieving what has been achieved. My heart is too much of the people and my mind too fixed on establishing a positive historic legacy… rather than engage in destructive pettiness,” he wrote.
He further highlighted that, "this government, APC, is for the betterment of the people and the national purpose is bigger and more important than any individual’s desires."
Tinubu said he will remain true to the progressive ideals that fueled the creation of APC.
There are rumours that the APC chieftain might be planning with other party bigwigs to float a mega party following the discord that has engulfed the ruling party which he played a major role in building together.
