Jones: We must end this drawing trend

Phil Jones admits that Manchester United need to turn dominant performances into wins after another disappointing 1-1 draw in the Premier League, this time away to Everton.
The Reds controlled the game at Goodison Park and looked set for three points after Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his eighth league goal in the first half. But having conceded late equalisers against Stoke City and Arsenal recently, there was further misfortune for the Reds when substitute Marouane Fellaini was judged to have fouled Idrissa Gueye in the penalty area and Everton captain Leighton Baines levelled the scoreline from the spot.

“Everton play direct and make it difficult for you to defend but I thought we stood up to it and were resilient,” said Jones, whose performance was described by his manager as 'magnificent'.
"The home fans were getting frustrated until we gave the penalty away and drew the game.
“We are losing too many points now, it’s becoming a common trend, and we need to put that right quick.
“I can think of four or five games now where we have dominated but not managed to win. It's happened again and I'm gutted."
United started Sunday's match in style with the flair and creativity of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Ibrahimovic evident in the opening exchanges. It was a combination between the latter pair that broke the deadlock when the Frenchman played in the Swede and he chipped the on-rushing goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg to give the visitors a deserved lead.
"We are playing well, we are moving the ball well and creating chances," Jones told MUTV. "It was a great ball by Anthony [Martial] and Ibrahimovic did what he does best. It’s a great goal but it’s worthless in a game you draw when you should have won."
