UNITED IN DISARRAY

Man City suffer their first major setback in years and they're spending £200m in January, but Man Utd sitting 13th in the league and just 10 points above relegation are sending 3 players out on loan with no signs of any major recruitment to back their new manager.

Our players aren't good enough and don't fit Amorim's system. We're in a dire situation. Back the manager starting this window. It's simple.

- LONG POST OPINION -

Really poor today, no exception.  Why is it that squad has got heart and bottle when it comes to performances in the likes of a FA cup round, but then they don't have it when it's in a league match that is pretty much the bread and butter all season long.

Another abysmal performance, and we can't put any blame on Ruben, because he's trying to bring vitality into this squad, but in reality - half of our squad either on the pitch or on the bench is dead with no signs of life, and sadly Ruben is now starting to give up with some of these players. Hate to say it, if some of our senior / starting XI players aren't putting a performance in on the pitch - they should be off it entirely until they improve, let the youngsters have a fair crack.  Not just Amad or Mainoo, those that are coming up from the academies and Under 21s - bet they can do better jobs and play with a different mindset.

We all see/give banter to other clubs when they are losing or drawing like Arsenal when they drew against Villa, Man City with the form they've been on, Spurs etc - but ideally we're in no position to give it out because this squad was struggling against a relegated side in Southampton a few days ago, and now we once again get beat by Brighton comfortably by them.

We got games now where if we don't buck up and start winning them - we may as well prepare ourselves for another relegation and go down into the Championship, making this the worst-ever campaign ever in the PL era.
Ideally, I know it's easier than said, but I think the end of the season, we need to release some of these players from their contracts, because I don't see them being fit for purpose to be in this club, let alone in the Prem or in the Championship - we're paying them just to kick a ball about, and that's it.
