Manchester United's first fixture of pre-season takes place on Saturday but there is still plenty of speculating surrounding a possible Paul Pogba transfer
Paul Pogba remains the man Jose Mourinho wants more than any other this summer - but he faces competition to land the French international.
His outspoken agent Mino Raiola may have brokered deals for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to move to Manchester United in recent weeks - but Pogba will be more difficult to pull off.
The Frenchman looks set to cost a world record fee - and with Europe's giants also tracking him, Mourinho will have to convince him to return to the club he left as a free agent in 2012.
United actually have a game to prepare for this weekend, though. Mourinho takes charge of The Reds for the first time at Wigan on Saturday and his line-up is expected to be scrutinised for hints over players' futures.
A good mix of youth and experience trained earlier in the week - when 10 academy graduates were spotted in the training pictures at Carrington. Axel Tuanzebe could make his senior bow at the DW Stadium.
